Frequently asked questions
- What is paint correction?
- Paint correction is multi-stage machine cutting and polishing to reduce swirl marks, light scratches, holograms and oxidation while respecting clear coat. Gomes Detailing offers it mobile across Gauteng from R2,800.
- How is paint correction different from a normal polish?
- A light polish mostly boosts gloss. Correction uses controlled machine stages to improve clarity by reducing defects in the clear coat before protection is applied.
- Should I ceramic coat after paint correction?
- Usually yes. Ceramic coating after proper correction locks in clarity and makes maintenance easier, especially under Gauteng UV and road film.
- Do you come to my house for car detailing in Gauteng?
- Yes. Gomes Detailing is fully mobile. We travel to homes, offices and complexes across Johannesburg, Pretoria and the rest of Gauteng—no workshop drop-off required.
- How much does mobile car detailing cost with Gomes Detailing?
- Starting prices are R650 for Interior Restoration, R1,200 for a Full Detail (interior and exterior), R2,800 for Paint Correction & Polish, and R4,500 for Ceramic Coating. Add-ons include Headlight Restoration from R350 and an Engine Bay Detail from R450. Final quotes depend on vehicle size and condition.
